You’d be forgiven to think ‘soulution’ is a typo. My spell check certainly thinks so. But no. It is the name of a Swiss company whose soul mission is designing and manufacturing the finest audio equipment in the world. And according to Mark they’ve succeeded. “Consistently for the past ten years walking into the Soulution room at Munich, Rocky Mountain, Vegas and other shows, I have been met by the most realistic sound this side of live music.” Soulution makes electronics that transcend the tube versus solid state debate. The clarity, vocal interpretations, rhythmic flow, dynamics and impact go further than others in capturing the soul of music. Soulution’s mission is to design cost-no-object components and in the process set a new and higher benchmarks. They have succeeded.

311 stereo amplifier  20570
The 3 Series was introduced at the 2017 Munich show to much anticipation and acclaim. Now Soulution had a series of products that were attainable. The design goal of the 311 amplifier was to come as close as possible to the reference designs. Consequently the 311 is equipped with the same ‘switched-mode’ power supply technology as models in the other series. And speaking of power supplies there are six of them, each optimized for a specific function. The audio section is physically separated from the power supplies and digital circuits in order to reduce interferences to a minimum. In addition these sections are shielded. The amplifier section as well its dedicated power supplies are executed in dual mono layout. 120w @ 8 ohms.

325 preamplifier  13090
A preamplifier should only amplify or attenuate the music signal, not change it in any way. The 325 preamplifier attains this goal. Physical separation of the left and right channel provides optimal separation and cross talk performance. The volume control uses only high precision, low noise metal foil resistors and controls both volume and balance. As with the 311 the 325 employs a switched-mode power supply. Switched mode power supplies provide supply voltages that are more stable and lower in noise than other power supply technologies. The 325 may be integrated in a Audio/Video system. One input can be defined as surround input - volume and balance settings of the 325 preamplifier will be ignored for the surround input. A first class phono stage and an exquisite D/A converter are available as options.

330 integrated amplifier  24450
An uncompromising preamplifier and an uncompromising power amplifier, both of reference quality, combined in one housing is the 330. In fact the description of the 311 amplifier and 325 preamplifier apply here. 120W @ 8 ohms. A first class phono stage and an exquisite D/A converter are also available as options.

511 stereo amplifier  34500
Ten power supplies feed the 511 stereo amplifier. The 511 has three operating modes which can be changed in the menu functions. The modes are: Stereo Mode 140w @ 8 ohms per channel; Dual-Mode 140w @ 8 ohms per channel; Mono-Mode 560w @ 8 ohms per channel. The amplification circuit is similar to the technology used in the 7 Series. At its core is a proprietary voltage amplification stage that consists of linearized amplifiers operating up to a cut-off frequency of 80MHz. High precision idle current management ensures optimal Class A operation for all conditions without requiring any readjustment in the music signal thereby guaranteeing optimal sound.

520 preamplifier  26000
With four line inputs and a high quality phono stage built in the 520 is perfectly equipped for all audiophile requirements. Physical separation of the left and right channel provides optimal separation and cross talk performance. The volume control uses only high precision, low noise metal foil resistors and it controls both the volume and balance. Multi-stage output achieves very fast, ultra wideband amplification and is able to drive the longest interconnects with ease. The phono preamplifier is also multi-stage using the highest grade components. Alan Sircom of Absolute Sound summed up his review of the 520 by saying, “If all of this is reading like the Soulution 520 is the best preamplifier I have ever tested, then it’s because it comes pretty damn close. I’m putting this up there with the handful of top preamplifiers I have ever heard, in with a very select few peers”.

530 integrated amplifier  59500
An uncompromising preamplifier and an uncompromising power amplifier, both of reference quality, combined in one housing. Most integrated amplifiers combine the functions of volume control, source selection and amplification in a single multi-function circuit. Not so with the 530. It takes the uncompromising route of separate circuits. Nine power supplies, optimized for each function, feed the amplifier. The audio section is physically separated from the power supply and digital circuits. Surround mode allows users to optimally integrate with AV systems. The 530 is equipped with pre-out connections which enable subwoofers, tape recorders or other amplifiers to be driven directly by the 530’s preamplifier section, bypassing the power amplifier section. 125w @ 8 ohms

550 phono  20500
The 550 phono features unbalanced dual-mono construction with separate power supplies for the left and right channel guaranteeing the least possible channel crosstalk. Both inputs of the 550 can be configured for moving magnet or moving coil cartridges with load impedance selectable via the front panel or the remote control for each input individually. A switchable < 20Hz rumble filter protects loudspeaker cones from potentially damaging long excursions by warped records. The 550 uses identical power supplies and output stages to those employed in the 520 preamplifier. The 550 can drive any cable.

560 D/A converter (now with Leedh processing)  35000
The 560 D/A Converter captures all digital music data and transports it to the analog domain with no deletions and no additions. Top grade digital interfaces for optimal reception of the music data, a super precise master clock generator to avoid jitter, intelligent digital signals processing with oversampling technology, and analogue output stages of top end preamplifier quality are embodied in the 560. Audio data is buffered then upsampled to 24bit/384kHz. Soulution is the first high end electronics manufacturer in the world to license ‘Leedh Processing’ for its DAC’s. ‘Leedh Processing’ is an algorithm for increasing and decreasing the volume level of a digital music signal and does so without adding any artefacts to the signal. No information is lost while adjusting volume.

760 D/A converter (now with Leedh processing)  78000
Soulution is the first high end electronics manufacturer in the world to license ‘Leedh Processing’ for its DAC’s. ‘Leedh Processing’ is an algorithm for increasing and decreasing the volume level of a digital music signal and does so without adding any artefacts to the signal. No information is lost while adjusting volume. A Sharc DSP performs the 8x oversampling to 24 bit/ 352.8kHz or 24-bit/384kHz. It uses interpolation algorithms developed by Anagram Technologies followed by Burr Brown D/A converters in a digital symmetric configuration. Zero Phase Technology eliminates even the smallest timing errors. Consequently music gets even more realistic and three dimensional with a lot of ‘air’ around instruments and voices. In other words as close to the source as possible.
