Kawero by Kaiser Acoustics

The Kaiser GmbH is a substantial and very advanced wood-based engineering company that specialises in acoustic solutions. It’s a family firm, was founded in 1948, and is located in beautiful alpine scenery near Untergriesbach, in the extreme bottom right hand corner of Germany.

Kaiser has many years of experience in providing customised room acoustic for recording studios, conference rooms, lecture halls and state-of-the-art home cinemas. It´s our philosophy to combine the technical requirements with aesthetic appeal. We do not only want to please your ears but your eyes as well, since visual appearance is an important part of the entire enjoyment.

Loudspeakers

Grande

The very impressive Kawero!® Grande is nearly 6 ft tall and is assembled of two separate cabinets – each speaker weighs approximately 509 lbs.

The rearfiring woofer is a 15” Audiotechnology with sandwich cone and 4” hybrid voice coil in a ported enclosure (Kawero Classic has 10” with 3” VC)

Midrange is a 8” Scan Speak Ellipticor with paper cone (Kawero Classic 6,5” AT with custom coated PP cone) Due to the increase in size and cone area we had to add a low midrange/upper bass unit in the front which is an AudioTechnology 12” with sandwich cone and 3” voice coil in closed box. Why closed box? Because we want to have very fast bass for basedrums and kickbass.

We also love our custom made new RAAL 70-20XR. Since our partnership with Audionote Kondo Japan we have the permission to use their famous silver cable for the primary windings of the RAAL transformer. This had a big improvement on the sound.

The sound with Kondo wired transformer is more natural and smooth even with very high loads.

Classic

Variable time alignment and radiation direction of the custom RAAL ribbon tweeter.

Audiotechnology midrange and rear firing woofer with proprietary customised characteristics.

Duelund CAST inductors capacitors and Mundorf silver/gold/oil capacitors, in a time, phase and resonance-optimised characteristics.

3D computer designed cabinet, made from an incredibly rigid, tough and well-damped type of beech ply called tankwood.

Vivace

The Kawero!® Vivace has grown out of the develop-ment programme for the larger Kawero!® Classicloudspeaker that has drawn numerous 'best sound atthe show' comments in recent years.

Both speakers are designed to produce, from acompact cabinet, a huge hall-filling sound with lifelikeinstruments and voices 'present' in the room.

A key feature of these speakers is the way they workwith the room's natural ambient response, together withthe characteristics of human hearing, to achieve thecorrect power, scale and tonal balance in the listeningroom. Extensive acoustics modelling has ensured thatthe direct and reflected sound-field combine correctly,with all the tonal colours of the sound in perfectharmony.

Compact Speakers

Chiara

The Chiara high performance stereo loudspeaker features sophisticated engineering, state-of-the-artmaterials and high tech manufacturing processes to minimize structural vibration, offering uncolored tonalcoherence and a robust sound previously unattainable in a compact loudspeaker of this size.It is the smallest loudspeaker in the Kaiser Kawero speaker range, all manufactured from Panzerholz, ahigh tech natural wood-based laminate engineered in Germany. Panzerholz is incredibly dense: it sinks inwater, offers the rigidity of steel, and also boasts some of the best vibration damping characteristics in theworld. In fact, as a side-effect of this performance, it turns out that this loudspeaker is bulletproof.Hardships in working this extremely hard material are overcome by careful tooling and handling techniques.

Furioso Mini

The Kawero!® Furioso mini high performance stereo loudspeaker features sophisticated engineering, state-of-the-art materials and high tech manufacturing processes to minimize structural vibration, offering uncolored tonal coherence and a robust sound previously unattainable in a compact loudspeaker of this size. The speakers are manufactured from Tankwood, a high tech natural wood-based laminate engineered in Germany. Tankwood is incredibly dense: it sinks in water, offers the rigidity of steel, and also boasts some of the best vibration damping characteristics in the world.
